13-4-09 - as of the last 3 weeks IM BACK ! - im finally back in the workshop after a horrible start to the year, the back orders are clearing FAST but the waiting list is filling up nicely too so work continues at a blistering pace. Prices on some bodies have dropped and I will be introducing a "one price fits all" on necks soon. Basically unless you want binding or really crazy custom inlay neck costs will be capped at £300. DiMarzio pickups are now available directly from this website, you can buy with confidence using paypal to checkout. Coming soon will be EMG pickups too. I am back on the case with quotes, if you are waiting and have not had your quote back yet, drop me a line.

17-01-2009 - some new pricing up already, with suppliers prices rising all the time it may not be the last this year but we shall see. One thing to note right now is that im not really able to quote at all, with 3 very recent and close deaths in my family I have too much to do there and work inevitably will suffer, by all means mail me with you specs but it may be several weeks before I get to it. If I can I will mail you to say that I have it.

3-1-09 Happy new year to you all, im currently reviewing prices and creating a new page where customers can see where they are in the work rota. Unfortunately due to crazy fluctuations in the economy every supplier has increased prices from anywhere between 10 and 400% - yes thats right 400% - I am currently reviewing pricing on all hardware as well as all the building works, until then please mail me to confirm pricing on anything you may be interested in, of course, stuff for sale already is staying static.

4-12-08 Hooray I had a birthday... this month.. so now thats over and done with there is a couple of things.. one is that ive trapped a nerve in my neck - this is pretty painful to the point where breathing hurts, im rattling around full of prescription drugs so currently the workshop is empty. another piece of news that slightly contradicts the first is that over the past month or so you may have noticed that more non-custom "off the shelf" stuff is starting to appear, this is going to be the case from now on so keep and eye on the for sale section. In addition to that, there will also be complete guitars, ready to go, they will be natural finished, elegant and above all affordable custom items, there will be no messing with these guitars, they will come playing like silk, in a case, with a strap and will almost certainly feature DiMarzio pickup combinations, so - keep your eyes peeled..

17-11-08 ~ Finally someone played a lick of DOOM for the website, and the first contributor is.... PAUL GILBERT... holy moly, what a coup ! - Paul was a really really nice guy and kindly played a guitar that I had made to take to.... Manchester... - I went to see him yesterday in manchester and was fortunate enough to get a VIP pass so got to have a jam and general chat with Paul before the gig, there were 6 of us who were fortunate enough to there and we all had a nerve wracking time playing in front of Paul whom we had bumped into before the clinic while out and about in Manchester. anyway, pics and videos are available in the waste some time page and the guitar build pictures will be in the current builds page as soon as I get to it. of course this is all for fun, im not trying to say that Paul is in anyway linked with me, my guitars, or anything like that, it was just great to see him play one of mine... so thanks again !

9-9-08 ~ QUOTES, aaargh - a quick note to all, I get a lot of requests for quotes on everything from complete guitars to just a body, sometimes I get so many that I could spend all my time quoting and getting no building done. If you do mail me for a quote I WILL reply, I try to reply in as quick a time as possible but if im backed up it may take several days to get a formal quote organised, please be patient, I always reply.

28-9-08 ~ Im changing the way I work on customers orders from now on, to date I have been tooling up and making nothing but necks and then tooling up and making nothing but bodies. this is a great practise in theory but simply does not work, I end up working on 10 guitars all at once and they all take a long time to complete. From now on i will work purely in order of when a customer pays either their deposit or in full. Paying means a place on the worklist and I will work on a varying amount of projects at the top of the list, when one is complete I will then start the next project on the list. The way ive been working to date means that a customer who pays first may not necessarily take delivery of their guitar first, this is unfair and is now not going to be the case any longer..

22-8-08 ~ nearly 2 months has passed since I started building full-time and things are going great! there are lots of really cool projects on the go and some stuff im designing that may not see the light of a stage for some time but when they do.... they are pretty unique !

im continuing to offer Dimarzio products as OEM installed in my instruments but im now also offering to sell funky colours direct ! - if you want black pickups there are plenty of places you can buy those but not many will order you a set of breeds with GOLD TOPS !! - well, I will so if pink and yellow evo's are what you need for your project - trawl the bay no more my son and get in touch !

8-6-08 ~ LOTS OF NEWS..... First.... Im not going to be a part time builder as of the 27th June, I quit my day-job last week and will concentrate on making guitars only, this means faster production times and more models, the name "The Guitar Workshop" will also be on the way out and will become "Jaden Rose, Custom Guitars".

Im now also proud to be an official UK Dimarzio Pro Installer sourcing directly from Dimarzio UK meaning that all UK warranties apply and will soon to be an official stockist too.
